The Caribbean Jewel Beach Resort offers 30 rooms on two floors, and is up on a hill and although not quite beachfront it is only a short walk to the bottom of the hill to the nearest beach, although coming back up carrying a heavy small child is not fun.
The rooms themselves are excellent, really quite huge, as are the beds, which are as comfortable as you will get at a resort, well equipped, also has a nice bathroom, and many with a great view to Rodney Bay from the spacious balcony, and everything is kept spotless. You could easily spend hours looking out over the view across Rodney Bay, which is absolutely captivating.
Although it is very definitely an affordable family vacation, it is probably more suited to smaller children, as it is essentially a quiet hotel without much action for the teenagers. There are more raucous resorts nearby at a lower level, making the Caribbean Jewel Beach Resort almost a haven of peace by comparison. If you want the party atmosphere then you don’t have to go far to find it.

In line wit the peace and quiet Caribbean Jewel Beach Resort has a small bar and restaurant, which has terrific views of the harbour. The food is not bad by some Caribbean standards, especially at dinner, but there are several good nearby restaurants which are well worth a visit.
You are going to need to work quite hard to book the Caribbean Jewel Beach Resort because it isn’t very well advertised. This may be because it lacks the glitz and glamour of the all inclusives, or the sports facilities of other hotels. What it does have apart from affordability, is the fact that is just a lovely place to be. The staff are very attentive, the views are amazing, it is so peaceful, and relaxed. Yes the restaurant may disappoint slightly, and the fact that it is on a hill overlooking the bay means a long climb back, but these are just small niggles, which don’t come close to spoiling an affordable family vacation at the very nice, almost boutique resort of Caribbean Jewel Beach.
